REVELATION S.E.E.D.: He’s Still God (CD Review)

Title: He’s Still God

Artist: Revelation S.E.E.D

Label: Beatitudes Music Group

Rating:****

Revelation S.E.E.D (Separate Entities Eternally Delivered) is co-produced and directed  by veteran Rhythm and Blues stalwart, Betty Wright. Included in the lineup is Margaret Reynolds, a former member of KC & The Sunshine Band, and who had a string of hits on her own in the 1970’s – including one of my all time favorites, the 1979 “Keep On Holding On!”

“He’s Still God” crosses various music genres, including the standard gospel fare, Reggae, and what I call “light hip hop beat”. This is not exactly your parents kind of gospel, it’s that and more! I find myself playing this CD over and over. The lyrics are straight and direct to the point. There is no ifs and buts as to whom, who gets the praises. Unlike other gospel artists that appear to be walking a tightrope, or afraid to mention the words “God” and “Jesus” – Revelation S.E.E.D makes it abundantly clear, no ambiguity here!

Outstanding tracks include: “He’s Still God” “I Decided” “Living Double Lives” “There Will B 2-Morrow”  “Do You Remember What Jesus Said”  “Hold On Don’t Give Up” and “Whoop That Devil”, among others. This is truly an inspirational CD. And when you put the likes of Margaret Reynolds, Betty Wright, Otis Flowers, Deana Butler, Merian Terry, and Nicole Johnson together, the result is nothing less than perfect harmony. And with all the confusion and craziness happening in the world today, it is comforting and assuring that no matter what, “He’s Still God!”
