KELLY ROWLAND WON’T MAKE IT TO JAZZ FEST!

Kelly replaced at Jazz Festival

FANS of Kelly Rowland who were anticipating her on stage at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival on Saturday night, January 28, will have to wait a little longer.

According to the event’s website, Rowland has been replaced by Heads of State, the male R&B group which comprises former New edition member Bobby Brown, Johnny Gil and Ralph Tresvant.

Bobby Brown began his music career as a member of the R&B boy band New Edition which he founded along with childhood friend Michael Bivins. The group’s hits with Brown included Candy Girl, Cool It Now, and Mr. Telephone Man.

Tresvant left New Edition in 1989, shortly before the rest of the group disbanded and went solo with one of his biggest hits being Sensitivity.

Johnny Gil replaced Tresvant after he left New Edition. Gill has enjoyed a solo career with hit songs such as My My My, Half Crazy, Perfect Combination (with Stacy Lattisaw) among others.

The festival which takes place from January 26 – 28 at the Trelawny Multi purpose Stadium.
