FEDERAL prosecutors in Manhattan, New York yesterday filed an indictment against Reggae singer Denroy Morgan, according to a report in the New York Post.

Morgan is accused of conspiring to sell more than 350 pounds of ganja after he was held leaving a house in the Bronx with 25 pounds of ganja.

The case was dropped in the Bronx Supreme Court after the indictment was filed by the Federal Government charging him with distribution and possession of marijuana.

The report said court records show Morgan’s defence lawyer has been negotiating a possible plea deal.
