IT’S ABOUT TIME – KNUTSFORD EXPRESS WILL NOW STOP IN FALMOUTH AND NEGRIL!

KNUTSFORD Express -— the cross-country, luxury bus company — will be extending its service to the Georgian town of Falmouth come June 11.

“This is the first phase of our plan and resort town of Negril will be included on our destination as well,” said Oliver Townsend, a director of the six-year-old company. “So, we’ll be adding two connections.”

According to Townsend, the Negril destination had been in pipeline for sometime but the company decided to add Falmouth with it. Therefore, the new route would be Negril to Montego Bay then Falmouth to Ocho Rios and into Kingston. A similar bus would also be leaving from Kingston to Negril and making all stops in between.

“Come July 1, however, we’ll fully ramp it up. So, we’ll have three departures out of Negril daily and at least two out of Falmouth,” Townsend told Auto. “We’re really excited about this.”

The director said that there would be five departures out of Kingston.

“There would be a slight modification to our schedule to meet the need of all our customers,” he said.

Townsend said the decision add the two destinations came from “overwhelming requests” from their valued customers.

“Well be giving the Kingston office a facelift this month,” Townsend said. “A lot of things are happening.”

Hopeton Thompson, operations manager of company, said the bus service goes the extra mile to ensure the passengers travel in comfort and style.

“Our buses are clean, spacious and fully air-conditioned,” he said. “Passengers are given a bottle of water when they board.”

The operations manager said all the buses in the fleet are outfitted with in-house theatre systems, bathrooms, fire extinguishers, and first-aid kits.

“We have security features on the buses which ensures the passengers’ safety,” he said.

He said that no cash transactions are allowed on the buses as fares are paid prior to boarding.

The Knutsford Express plies New Kingston, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay daily.

The luxury buses leave New Kingston to Ocho Rios and Montego Bay at 6 am; 9:30 am; 2 pm and 5 pm on weekdays.

A one-way trip is $2,250. However, fares are discounted to $1,950 for early booking. University students and senior citizens also receive discounts on the Knutsford Express.
