Headlining the illustrious line-up will be foundational reggae band Steel Pulse and one of the most internationally recognised Jamaican entertainers, Barrington Levy. The Jamaican entertainers will be accompanied by their compatriots, budding artiste Jah9 and seasoned deejay, Rory of the Stone Love Sound System.

Representing the red, white and black at the event will be home-grown artiste Marlon Asher, songbird Jamelody, Levi Myaz and Aaron Marquez. Reggae-influenced deejays such as Nyahbinghi, Xcalibur, Matsimela, Selector ing and Blacstone, New Chapter, Xixgon and even Franco from title sponsors Hott 93 are also expected to belt out hits from the good old days as they grace the local stage once more in a conscious harmony.

Additionally, there will be free drinks for the night, courtesy title sponsors Mackeson, Hott 93 and Angostura.

But, this inaugural Reggae Fest will be than just a concert, for its promoters have gone all out and added many special attractions for reggae fans.

“It’s a festival experience. We want people to see that this is going to be something that will create history for reggae and concerts in Trinidad and Tobago,” said Ayana Wadada, media officer for the Reggae on the Bay event.

“There will be people with arts and crafts and different food from all across the Caribbean. If patrons wish they can come with their blankets and spread it along the greens and create a reggae experience that will be remembered for the rest of their lives. The ambience is great at the venue and this is a major standard we setting for reggae shows in Trinidad and Tobago,” she added.
