PLUTO SHERVINGTON LEADS THE PACK TO MERRITONE FAMILY FUNDAY 2012!

Veteran reggae singer Pluto Shervington, Michael Palmer, the Ruff Stuff Band and Miss Matty Lou will provide live entertainment at the 15th annual Merritone Family Fun Day, the largest Caribbean family event of its kind in North America. The event will be held on Sunday, July 15th at Lake Quassy, Route 64, Middlebury, Connecticut.

“Pluto Shervington is a revered singer who has released a number of classic songs over the years” Conroy Allison founder and CEO of the Merritone Family Funday said.

The popular 70’s reggae crooner is best known for his single ‘Ram Goat Liver’ that enjoyed huge commercial success in the Caribbean and much of Europe. His follow up single ‘Dat,’ was equally impressive and peaked at #6 on the UK charts. Six year later he scored another UK chart hit with ‘Your Honor.’

This year’s ‘Family of the Year Award” will be presented to Garfield Comrie, Marketing Consultant at Grace Kennedy Remittance Services Ltd/Western Union.

This year’s Merritone Family Funday renewal will again feature the Royal Caribbean Bakery Bun & Patty Eating Contests, Kiddies Dance Contest,’ Karaoke, the Trans Continental Shippers Treasure Hunt and an exciting Domino Competition, where teams compete for cash prizes.
