AFTER REGGAE SUMFEST PERFORMANCE – THE LAS VEGAS-BASED BONAFIDE STAKES ITS CLAIM ON THE LOCAL MUSIC SCENE!

Bonafide

Over the last 4 years or so International Reggae Group Bonafide has been making serious inroads in the local market place, with their trademark blend of lovers rock and roots reggae sounds along with up-tempo dancehall tracks such as Bumpa which was done in combination with Busy Signal.
The Las Vegas based group which is comprised of drummer Donovan ‘Junior Roots’ Stephens and Keyboardist Robert Stephens, bass player Wayne Stevens and deejay Kerry ‘Kerry Ranks’ Bell recently delivered a stellar performance on International Night One of the recently staged Reggae Sumfest.
“We were one of the opening acts on International Night One of Sumfest and the audience loved our performance. We were well prepared because we did numerous rehearsal sessions as is the norm for us and it paid off big time, we delivered a good set and the audience really showed their appreciation,” said Junior Roots.
Junior Roots also said that the group plans to continue to promote their music locally and become more active on the local music scene.
“We definitely plan to do a lot more work at home; although we have a heavy international schedule each year. We have been touring all over North America and the Pacific for a number of years now, but the Jamaican market is very important to us. Things are finally coming together for us locally after a number of years of hard work and promotions; the response we got at Sumfest is proof of that.”
The group is currently in the process of wrapping its local promotions and completing a music video for their hit song titled Start & Stop, which features Reggae Super Star Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley.
