Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce bulleted to the race of the season to win Jamaica’s first gold medal at the London Olympics.

Running from lane seven, Fraser-Pryce nicknamed ‘The Pocket Rocket’ flew out of the blocks and never looked back.

She clocked 10.75 to defend her Beijing title and becoming the first non-American to retain the 100m Olympic crown in fours years apart.

America’s Carmelita Jeter was second in a season best 10.81 while Jamaica’s Veronica Campbell-Brown (10.78) took the bronze medal also in a season best.
