“I’M ALIVE” SAYS GOSPEL SINGER KERRON ENNIS, AFTER NEAR-FATAL ACCIDENT!

By Cecelia Campbell-Livingston——-

FIVE years ago, Kerron Ennis and her father were involved in an auto accident, an incident she says that strengthened her Christian faith.

The gospel singer’s upcoming album I’m Alive, was inspired by that near-fatal experience.

It is produced by Ennis’ husband Andrew Scarlett and includes the songs I’m Alive, Rock of Ages, Many Are The Blessings, Last Days and Can’t Steal My Destiny.

In a recent interview with the Jamaica Observer, Ennis spoke about the divinity of the project.

“No one can steal what God has in store for you. No one should give up on their dreams,” said Ennis, who is also a motivational speaker.

Ennis has cemented herself in gospel music circles with songs such as Daddy Oh, God Is by my Side and Holy Ghost Church (with DJ Nicholas).

A past student of Merle Grove High School, Ennis says she has been a committed Christian since 1998.

Five years later, she entered the Jamaica Gospel Festival with No Wonder which placed third. It influenced her to pursue a full-time ministry through singing.

I’m Alive is in the mixing and mastering stages and according to Ennis should be released in early 2013.
