Several of the songs, like Looking my Love and Shine Eye Girl, announced the Clarendon-born teenager in 1979. Both songs were produced by Henry ‘Junjo’ Lawes for his Volcano label.

Levy was one of the stars of the Volcano camp which also included deejay Yellowman and another singer from Clarendon known as Cocoa Tea.

The songs Levy recorded for Lawes earned him a loyal block of fans in the United Kingdom.
