THERE will be no lyrical clashes or multiple band changes at this year’s Follow The Arrow show which takes place on March 2 at James Bond Beach in Oracabessa, St Mary.

Two years ago, the show ended prematurely after supporters of rival deejays Vybz Kartel and Bounty Killer pelted the stage with bottles during their performances.

Patrons pelted the stage during Bounty Killer’s performance at Follow The Arrow two years ago.

That incident prompted promoter Dexton Ennis to cancel the 2012 staging of the event, and introduce tighter measures going into this year’s event.

As a result, the popular, but contentious artiste clash is also out. Instead, there will be two four-the-hard-way segments.

One features deejays Burru Banton, Admiral Bailey, Professor Nuts, and Major Mackerel. The other segment, dubbed Roots Reggae, with singers Freddie McGregor, George Nooks, Cocoa Tea, and Louie Culture.

To prevent a recurrence of bottle-throwing, Ennis says all beverages will be served in plastic cups.

He added that only two bands will take the stage –Ruff Kut and Warrior Love.

“Sometimes at stage shows there are just too many band changes. Everyone wants to work with their own band even if their set is less than 15 minutes,” Ennis told Splash.

Bounty Killer and deejay Wickerman will receive awards for continuous support to the show which is now in its 13th year.

Other acts confirmed for Follow The Arrow are I-Wayne, Mr Vegas, Sizzla Kalonji, Assasin, Lady Saw, and I-Octane.
