New York law enforcement officials have issued a warrant for the immediate arrest of Shellian McBayne, the baby’s mother and ex-girlfriend of popular Dancehall artist, Mr. Vegas.

The warrant was issued by the Bronx County Family Court in New York after Ms. McBayne failed to appear at a child custody hearing Tuesday morning as she and the entertainer are battling for custody of their two-year-old daughter. It is the second such hearing she has skipped as she was a no-show for a February court appearance.

During a radio interview Tuesday afternoon, a frustrated Mr. Vegas said McBayne has prevented him from seeing his young daughter for the last eight months and is tired of the games.

“She must know what she’s doing,” Vegas told IRIE FM“All I’m trying to do is fight for the right to be in my daughter’s life. I don’t wish for any mother to be taken away from their children. If she want to play that way, then there’s a law for people who want to play that way.”

“It’s nonsense not to see your daughter for eight months,” he continued. “It’s ridiculous.”

The next hearing in this child custody battle has been scheduled for May 28.

This case resulted following Vegas’ desire to seek full custody of his daughter after catching McBayne sleeping with another man in his Florida home last fall, allegedly in front of their child.
