The International Arts Foundation and SAIG Entertainment invite you to join us as we present South African Jazz multi-award winner, musician, and singer Ernie J. Smith to New Orleans. Ernie J. Smith is getting ready to jam at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 28th on the Jazz & Heritage Stage at 12:30 and at the International Arts Foundation Epic Center (3220 General DeGaulle Dr, New Orleans, LA 70114) on May 2nd featuring hit songs from his double South African Music Award (SAMA) winning CD “Child of the Light,” and “Lovely Things,” “My African Heart,” “Everything Around Me,” and “Blessed Man.” Ernie plans to premiere a few songs from his upcoming CD “Time for Love” during his performances in New Orleans.

Ernie J. Smith is gearing up to release his new CD “Time for Love” in the USA and in Africa. He plans to include remixes of 5 of his hit singles: Love Don’t Hurt Me AgainWhen I’m Feeling Kind of LonelyI Can’t Let You GoI Believe, and Lovely Things (Child of the Light) and 10 brand new songs. The single Lovely Things broke South African records when it held the number one spot on 16 radio stations for 10 weeks. Ernest D. Kelly, who is well known in the New Orleans music scene, plans to give Ernie his full support in positioning the new CD in the US markets with a US tour, marketing, and promotions. He shared his thoughts on Ernie J. Smith, “Ernie brings a unique sound to an American market looking for something new and inspiring. His sophisticated African infused contemporary style has already been warmly welcomed by many American fans.”

Known as a scintillating guitarist and an accomplished vocalist Ernie J. Smith is known to mesmerize audiences with his phenomenal multi-talented Afro Jazz, R&B/Gospel and Pop style that highlights South African melodies and rhythms. His arrangements compose sophisticated blends that are distinctly unique to him and have endeared him into the hearts of his global fans.
