LOVERS ROCK SINGER TERRY LINEN, WORKING ON NEW MATERIAL FOR COMING ALBUM!

BY SIMONE MORGAN—-

NOW that his contract with American record label Uplifting Music has expired, singer Terry Linen is working on a new album for the Jamaican market.

Welcome to My World is the name of the album which is expected to be released late this year. The 18-track set is produced by music industry veteran Lloyd Campbell.

Terry Linen is working on a new album for the Jamaican market.

Terry Linen, whose real name is Kiplin Simpson, says his association with Uplifting had its challenges.

“We had a misunderstanding which resulted in a violation of contract so I had to wait for almost three years between 2009-2012 when the contract ended to start recording again,” he said.

Among his latest releases are covers of Cynthia Schloss’ You Look Like Love and Bam Bam, originally done by Toots and the Maytals.

Linen’s career started in 1993 when he met singer/producer Anthony Red Rose who produced his debut single The Rainbow Never Touched the Ground.

It was not until 1999 that he got the breakthrough with a cover of Whitney Houston’s My Love is Your Love.
