UP-AND-COMING roots reggae artist I Queen is pleased with the momentum of her lastest single Wanna Be Free.

The track released late last month, was produced by Sean ‘Seanizzle’ Reid on his 37 Psalms Riddim.

“My material is always personal and I focus a lot on my words, I call it ‘reality music’…,” she said.

“We definitely share similar ideas for the direction and sound that I want to take my music,” she continued.

I Queen, whose real name is Camile Whyte, said she is happy to lend her voice to the resurgence of roots-reggae music.

“I’m all about music with a message,” she said.

Plans for an accompanying video are in the works.
