Gospel-reggae artist Robert Burchell is promoting a new single from his recently released debut album titled Agape. The single is called Welcome To Jamaica and, according to the artiste, the single is intended to bring visitors to the island.

The artist says music is one of Jamaica’s main tourist attractions and he hopes to use the art to pull more attention to the island’s beauty.

“It’s the summer and persons are travelling all over the world to spend their free time… . Honestly, there won’t be a better time to promote a song like this which sells Jamaica in such a positive light. The climate is right, the weather is right and I am feeling right,” a seemingly excited Burchell said.

The single is the second song to be marketed off the album and is already receiving regular rotation on several radio stations. A music video for the song was filmed at several beaches across the island and will be released soon.

The album’s debut single, Never Judge a Book, is still enjoying heavy rotation over the airwaves and is also being promoted in the United States.

Robert Burchell and Indeka Band recently performed at the 22nd annual celebration of the African/Caribbean International Festival of Life (IFOL) in Chicago, where he shared the stage with the likes of Luciano and Etana.

Representatives from more than 50 countries across Africa, the Caribbean and South and Central America were in attendance.

“The music is growing on people and I am developing my fan base. I am on a mission to carry both reggae and gospel music to the highest height I can, and so far I am feeling enthused,” the artiste said.
