AFTER an electrifying performance on Reggae Sumfest’s International Night I, it’s back to the grind for recording artist Nature, who is working on his debut album.

The yet-to-be-named set is slated to be released by year-end.

“The album will have a variety of genres… reggae, dancehall, R&B, Electric Dance music (EDM) because it’s geared towards an international audience. I’ve recorded over 25 songs which the final cut will be coming from,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

For this project, he has been working with several local and overseas-based producers. Among them are Skatta Burrell and American Gordon ‘Comish’ Williams. Williams has production credits on such Grammy-winning sets as Lauryn Hill’s Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and Carlos Santana’s Supernatural.

“Shaggy’s producer, Sting International, did some tunes in New York, Wayne Jobson out of Los Angeles, he did work on some No Doubt material and was great with me recording right here in Jamaica,” said Nature.

Nature, whose given name is Andre Ellis, said each day he tries to expand his horizon.

“Not many artists doing culture can really entertain and perform while giving a positive message. The business needs more unity and support for one another. We have nothing to fear,” he said.

He is known for singles including Wasting Time, Hold On, Revolution, and World Peace.
