“WONDERFUL, BUT FRIGHTENING” IS HOW CHRONIXX DESCRIBES HIS APPEARANCE ON NBC-TV’s “THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JIMMY FALLON!”

REGGAE star on-the-rise Chronixx is still the subject of conversation following his performances on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last Tuesday and a subsequent concert in New York’s Central Park at the weekend.

In a recent interview with National Public Radio (NPR) in the United States, the Here Comes Trouble singer noted that he was nervous when performing on the late-night TV show.

“It was wonderful, but frightening, because I knew that everyone in Jamaica was watching, and if you mess up, you mess up in front of your whole family. My mother was watching, my grandmother was watching — it was scary,” he told NPR.

The 21-year-old singer was also asked about his set during the free concert inside the New York landmark which attracted the likes of Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger to take in his performance.

“Central Park was definitely, officially, one of my most exciting shows ever. New York City is home to a lot of Jamaicans and Caribbean people — I think there are more Jamaicans here than in Jamaica. It’s home. So it feels like getting accepted at home,” Chronixx said in the NPR interview.

The Central Park venue is estimated to accommodate 5,500 people and reports indicate that it was filled to capacity once the gates opened, with as many as an additional 2,000 patrons remaining on the outside to listen to his performance.
