VYBZ KARTEL GOES ON TRIAL TODAY FOR “PERVERTING THE COURSE OF JUSTICE!”

The conspiracy trial of popular entertainer, Vybz Kartel is expected to begin today in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.

Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, is jointly charged with fellow entertainer Vanessa Saddler, more popularly known as ‘Gaza Slim’ and Andre Henry otherwise called ‘Pim Pim’ with perverting the course of justice.

Henry and Saddler are out on bail, while Kartel is serving a life sentence for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

It is alleged that Kartel and Gaza Slim were part of a plot to undermine the police’s investigation into Williams’ death.

Gaza Slim filed a report with the police claiming that Williams assaulted her during a robbery in Havendale, St Andrew.

She claimed that the incident occurred after Kartel had already been charged with William’s murder.

It is alleged that Saddler and others made up the story to help Kartel with his defence in the murder trial.
