US based Reggae singer Oriel is working assiduously to establish himself on the international Reggae scene.

The soft spoken singer who originally hails from the Caribbean island of Dominica recently performed alongside Ziggy Marley at an event which was held at the famed Carnegie Library Music Hall in Homestead, PA.

The event which also featured the Pittsburgh based Reggae band Truths & Rites was a part of Ziggy Marley’s Fly Rasta Tour.

“I recently performed alongside Ziggy Marley on the Homestead leg of his tour. It was an awesome experience, Ziggy is a great artist, and it’s a real honor to share the stage with him. I also did a show recently with Luciano, this was another great experience. It’s always good to work on the same bill with artists like Ziggy Marley and Luciano because of the level of exposure you get, and you also learn a lot of from them too.”

Oriel is currently working on a number of projects including his debut album which is slated to be completed and ready for release before year end. He is also applying the finishing touches to his Revoluters Mix Tape which has been in the pipeline for a while now.

“The album is coming along nicely, it’s almost completed, so far we have recorded more than a dozen tracks. I’m also working on my mixtape it should have been ready for release a few months ago, but we want it to be perfect before we put it out. We have returned to the drawing board a couple times but it should be ready for release by the end of this month,” said the artist.

Oriel is also preparing to release a brand new single called Serious.

“This single will be the follow up to my previously released single called Sticks & Stones, it’s a really great track with a very positive message. I expect the fans to embrace it in very much the same way they embraced Sticks & Stones because of its message. I think it will do very well especially in places where culture music is very strong,” said Oriel.
