CHANGES ARE COMING TO THE BLUE MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL, FEBRUARY 21-22!

 T.O.K

CHANGES are coming for the 2015 staging of the Blue Mountain Music Festival, set for the Holywell Recreational Park on February 21 — 22.

The organisers, members of the dancehall quartet TOK, are already in planning mode in order to make the festival which saw its inaugural staging last year more comfortable for patrons.

“Most importantly for Blue Mountain Music Festival 2015 we are moving the stage to the lower section of the park which will open up the entire park and create an amphitheatre-esque vibe. More people will be able to view the stage directly this way,” group member Craig ‘Craigy T’ Thompson told the Jamaica Observer.

“Also I know we had some logistics issues with the shuttle service in 2014 that will be addressed in 2015 as well. We also intend to end the performances earlier in 2015. Headliners will enter the stage at latest 10:00 pm. Also in 2015 we have eliminated the separation of having a VIP area,” he continued.

The group has decided to be tight-lipped about the line-up for the second staging of the festival at this time. “We will begin announcing names starting January 1. I can say for sure T.O.K will perform,” Thompson quipped.

While he admits that it has been difficult attracting sponsors, he has disclosed that the sponsors from this year’s festival are already on board foor next year and negotiations are on-going with other potential sponsors.

Meanwhile the quartet has just wrapped up a series of shows in Europe and are expected back in the island this week.

Looking back at 2014, Thompson said he and his bandmates have a lot to be thankful for.

“The EP Taking Over did well. We are filming for the 2nd season of our reality series T.OK Taking Over. We also have a new single called Sexy Gal with Kreesha Turner, as well as a new animated video for Pour Some Liquor featuring Junior Reid and Maino,” said Thompson.
