SINGER NYASHANE HAS “AN IRIE FEELING” FOR HIS LATEST RELEASES

Nyashane has an irie feeling—

 Nyashane—

ON his latest song, I am Feeling Irie, singer Nyashane exudes a positive vibe he says reflects his outlook on life.

Produced by APS Columbian, a company located in Portmore, I am Feeling Irie is taken from Barefoot Warrior, Nyashane’s first EP.

“I look at myself as a warrior but I want to make music that’s not over people’s heads,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

Barefoot Warrior was released digitally last October by Zojak Worldwide and has spawned follow-up singles in Town Get Hard and Settle Down.

Nyashane also recorded those songs, along with I am Feeling Irie, in acoustic form.

Rushane McFarlane (his given name) grew up in the Golden Triangle area of St Andrew, listening to the roots sounds of Marley, Tosh, Luciano, Sizzla and I Wayne.

He kicked off his career in 2009 with One Day, released on the Zion Train ‘riddim’.

After a lull in recording, he hooked up with the fledgling APS Columbian for a series of sessions that produced Barefoot Warrior.

Nyashane is pleased by what he says is positive response to the seven-track project.

“The people loving it an’ asking for more. Dat encourage us to work on getting out another EP by summer.”
