VETERAN dancehall artist General Degree said he is pleased with the reception he has been getting from his new EP Feeling Irie.

Released on January 28, this is the entertainer’s first reggae set.

“This EP is strictly a one-drop reggae project and it showcased how much I have grown over the years. I have reinvented myself and I’m fresh again. The title track has been one of my best in years as the response from the fans have been overwhelming,” he said.

Also included in the track listing are Touch Me, Over and Over, Koozie, Muck Off and Massive.

The EP also saw production works from the likes of Sly and Robbie, Lenky and Firehouse.

Degree, whose given name is Cardiff Butt, got his first number one hit Granny for Main Street producer Danny Browne in 1992. Granny reigned in the dances and charts for a year.

Among his other hits were Papa Lover, Traffic Blocking and Hold Yuh Tonight.

The 46-year-old’s albums include Smash Hits, Yeah Man, Degree and Bush Baby.
