Black Prophet is a reggae artist from Ghana and is one of the first musicians to bring conscious African reggae to the international arena.

Black Prophet’s music is different … it fuses elements of traditional African music with Jamaican reggae, and throws in a hint of rock and a dash of hip-hop for good measure.

This young man is not the typical reggae artist. He writes as he sees…as he feels…. of what is happening in the world, of how it affects him…. and how the world affects the people around him, performing in both English and his African dialects of Twi and Ga.

In common with many great reggae performers he is deeply committed to his art and believes in the spiritual power of music, saying ‘”Music lives in me and I live in it.’’ and “My music is to educate and elevate people from their sleep and slumber’’.

Black Prophet has already collaborated with and shared stages with many of the greatest names in reggae, including Dean Fraser, Duane Stephenson, Taurus Riley,Vitamin X, Rita Marley, Pliers,Don Carlos, Yellowman, SteelPulse,Lucky Dube, Alpha Blondy, Buju Banton, Anthony B, Jah Cure, Kenyatta Culture. The opportunity to work with the world’s biggest reggae music company VPRecords/VPAL Music, and, once again, with producerDean Fraser of Cannon Productions will establish this multi-talented singer/songwriter in his rightful place at the forefront of conscious reggae music.
