DANCEHALL artist Agent Sasco (aka Assassin) was able to receive a new passport in time to honor his gig in Antigua on Saturday.

The deejay’s passport was stolen from his vehicle three days prior.

He was one of several acts booked to perform on Jam Zone International Music Festival at the Antigua Recreation Ground in St John.

“Too often we hear stories like this, without a happy ending. With that in mind, I am even more aware of how lucky I am, and would like to say thank you to a number of people,” Agent Sasco said in a statement to the Jamaica Observer.

According to police reports, Sasco (given name Jeffery Campbell) was part of a video shoot featuring American rapper J. Cole on Lincoln Road, popularly called Black Roses Corner, last Wednesday night.

On leaving the set, he discovered the passenger window of his Audi Q5 was broken and the document removed.

The matter was reported to the Admiral Town Police the following day, who are conducting investigations. No arrest has been made.

Agent Sasco, in his statement, thanked several persons.

“Firstly, the people of Lincoln Crescent, who, were nothing but welcoming when we set up to do the video shoot. When we realised that my car had been broken into, the community got together and offered their assistance, along with members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

“Special thanks goes out to the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA), who, along with the JCF, worked quickly to issue a new passport to me in time for me to honour my overseas booking. Most of all, I would like to say thank you Miss Hunter, who returned the passport to my manager and KOOL FM’s Shelly-Ann Hill. I am grateful for the chance to tell this story with a happy ending,” he said.

In addition to the dancehall artist, other acts appearing on the show were Popcaan, American rapper Rick Ross, soca act Bunji Garlin and Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall.
