Famous for nabbing third place during Season One of the U.S. version of Simon Cowill’s The X Factor, and later signing an artist deal with  Epic Records with L. A. Reid’s support back in 2012, singer/songwriter Chris Rene is about to release a new independent EP, backed by Santa Cruz, California’s legendary rock-steady crew, the Stamina Allstars.

Rene has had his past battles with sobriety, but now, with his music as the prime motivation to live a healthy productive lifestyle, he is focused on bringing his smooth R&B style to the reggae arena.

The first single, “Sweetest Love” is due to drop in early July 2015 and will preview the “Pop Reggae/R&B Sound” he hopes will find support from both his already established fan base and the international reggae community that may be as of yet be unfamiliar with his music.
