Shaggy’s certainly made some classic hits over the years, but does his music have healing powers?

Well he certainly thinks so.

The Boombastic singer, whose real name is Orville Richard Burrell, has been sharing his thoughts about ISIS in a bizarre interview and he’s come up with a cunning way to stop the Jihadist militant group – play them some Shaggy.

‘If you’re able to cut a man’s head off, you’re sick,’ he told the Miami New Times.

‘But right, music evokes emotion.

‘So if they’re listening to Shaggy music or reggae music, they’re not going to want to cut somebody’s head off.’

Shaggy, who previously served in the Gulf War, believes that reggae music has the power to stop terrorism and says the world would be a better place if we all listened to Bob Marley non-stop while smoking weed.

The 46-year-old was born in Jamaica but moved to the US when he was a teenager and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps before turning his attentions to music.

He went on to top the charts with tracks like Boombastic and the ridiculously catchy It Wasn’t Me.

‘There’s two things you want to do when you listen to reggae: You get somebody pregnant, or you’re fucking high,’ he added.

‘High people don’t want to kill nothing; they want to love. They need to bag some Jamaican weed and distribute it among Isis.

‘I guarantee there won’t be any more wars out there.’

To be fair to Shaggy, he definitely means well and is rather passionate about terrorism.

But we’re guessing that US President Obama won’t be recruiting him as an adviser on Isis strategies any time soon.
