THE GREGORY ISAACS FOUNDATION TO LAUNCH ” COOL RULER SPRING WATER” ON JULY 15!

 Gregory Isaacs—

THE Gregory Isaacs Foundation will launch its Cool Ruler Spring Water on July 15, the birthday of the singer who died in October 2010.

The event is part of the ‘Meet Me At The Corner’ series, held at the corner of Orange and Charles streets in downtown Kingston.

There will also be the unveiling of a mural, painted by singer Junior Moore of The Tamlins, in honor of Isaacs, the lovers rock icon whose laid-back sound and style earned him the nickname The Cool Ruler.

According to a statement from the Gregory Isaacs Foundation, some of the sales from Cool Ruler Spring Water will go to several charities in which he was involved.

The Gregory Isaacs Foundation was established on the singer’s birthday in 2011 by his widow June to continue his charity work. Since then, it has staged a number of fund-raising concerts.

Isaacs, known for songs such as Love is Overdue, Soon Forward and Night Nurse, died in South London from lung cancer at age 60.
