VETERAN SINGER KEBLE DRUMMOND REBOUNDS WITH A CHART TOPPER!

 Keble Drummond

Keble Drummond

Keble Drummond has come full circle and is once again recording as a solo artist, in addition to his recently released Mello Moods  Of Music album, he has recorded several new tracks, the first to be released as a single is a cover of the Lloyd & Devon early seventies hit “Bum Ball’. Without skipping a beat, Keble Drummond delivers music nice and sweet that will move your emotions and dancing feet. “Bum Ball” tops the South Florida Reggae Chart for two weeks.

Keble was a student of Peter Austin (A founding member of the vocal group The Clarindonians) when Keble was a soloist and first learned to play guitar before forming the vocal trio The Cables with Elbert Stewart and Vince Stoddart.  The Cables had recorded for various producers before going to Studio One where they made seminal reggae hits like “What Kind Of World” and “Baby Why”.  After five years, Stoddart migrated to the US and was replaced by Owen Bobby Dockery.

The current solo album, Mello Moods Of Music showcases Keble, both as a soloist – the original lead singer of The Cables – and as a backup vocalist. His vocal delivery is reminiscent of the Studio One days when The Cables recorded reggae gems and were regarded as one of the finest vocal trios in reggae history.

Now, after a self-imposed 10-year hiatus from recording and releasing new material, Keble returned with a force to reckon with on the new album.  It pays tribute to some of the great artists of yesteryear who have inspired and motivated him in creating the 13 track set, skillfully blending with a reggae feel some influential old hits along with other new works.

KebleDrummond:MellowMoods

Mellow Moods Of Music was produced by Keble “Cable” Drummond, working with musician extraordinaire Paul Gauntlett at the I-Tek Studio; with horns support from Tony Greene (Saxophone), Chico Chin (Trumpet) and Derrick Hinds (Trombone); percussion and harmony by Keble   and supplementary harmonies by Hassanha Iroegby. All tracks were mixed and mastered by Jason Sterling at Jasfar Studios.

The Album and the single are available on iTunes and other digital distributors.
