NEVADA-BASED REGGAE SINGER RAS KRONIK PREPARES HIS SECOND ALBUM!

 Ras Kronik’s second coming—

HAVING lived in Las Nevada for over five years, singer Ras Kronik has made a name in a city regarded as the gambling mecca of the world.

The dreadlocked artiste is working on his second album, titled Wild and Free, which is recorded with Jamaican and American session musicians who live in Sin City.

It will be his second album, following 2013’s The Real Thing Remix.

“This one will have about 14 tracks with different producers including Patrick Anthony (former UB40 trumpeter), KC Cousin, Phillip Henry and myself. This album will be more distinguished than any other Ras Kronik music,” said Ras Kronik.

He plans to complete Wild and Free by year-end with a release tentatively scheduled for early 2016.

Henry, a Jamaican keyboardist/guitarist who lives in London, produced most of the songs including the title song which is already available digitally.

Keyboardist Bunny Ludlow Cunningham, another Jamaican who lives in Las Vegas, took part in the sessions. So too Anthony, a member of UB40’s classic lineup of the 1980’s.

Ras Kronik is originally from James Hill, Clarendon. He has been recording since 1996, his first released being More Than Gold for producer Barry O’Hare.

It was O’Hare who also produced The Original Lick, a 2000 song that remains Ras Kronik’s best known song in Jamaica.

Since 2007, he has lived in the United States, settling in Las Vegas. The largest city in Nevada state has a buoyant reggae following.

“I can say that the Nevada reggae scene is fruitful. It have its ups and downs in terms of shows but there are times when its busy, not just Nevada but the whole West Coast,” said Ras Kronik.
