Busy Signal and his 12-member band touched down at Harare International Airport yesterday ahead of their debut Zimbabwe concert tonight at Glamis Stadium in the capital.

Several ghetto youths and dancehall-reggae fans stormed Harare International Airport to welcome the outfit.

Born Glendale Goshia Gordon, Busy Signal, who is in the country courtesy of Devine Assignments and Chipaz Promotions, proceeded to meet his “ghetto fans” in Mbare, Highfield and Budiriro.

Busy Signal will be supported by an array of local chanters including Winky D, Soul Jah Love, Dadza D, Killer T and Seh Calaz while Templeman and Gary B, DJ Cables, Judgment Yard Sounds and Smiley will be rocking it on the turntables.

Speaking to NewsDay at the airport, Devine Assignments boss, Biggie Chinoperekwei said all was in place for the concert.

“The stage is set for tomorrow’s [tonight] show and what is left is for the artistes to deliver. But all of them have promised sterling performances,” he said.

Chinoperekwei said demand for the show’s tickets, which started selling yesterday morning, was high and urged fans to buy them at designated outlets.

“For security reasons we are urging fans to buy tickets at the designated outlets. Admission is $10. VIP tickets are going for $20, while the VVIP tickets are selling at $50,” he said.

“Fans can get tickets at Gold Tech, Red Rose Salons, Plaza de Castilla in Greencroft, Kebab Premier, Londoners in Strathaven, Private Lounge, City Sports Bar, Andy Millar Hall in Harare Showgrounds and Talk City Joina.”

Busy Signal has promised fireworks at the show in a video clip released after his confirmation of the Zimbabwe concert.
