According to publicist for the family Nicole Johnson Mighty the family is calling for an end to the scandalous behaviour.

“The family confirmed that they have been notified that several promoters and radio stations have been announcing benefit concerts in Sister Scully’s honor that will be held both in the United States and Jamaica.

The family would like to state that they have not, at anytime, authorized any persons to conduct benefit concerts or events for Scully,” said Johnson-Mighty.

“Any events such as these will not benefit Sister Scully’s family. Neither will the proceeds be used for her funeral expenses. These events are being organized by unauthozised persons where the profit will go directly into their pockets and will not at any time benefit the grieving family,” an official release said.

Sister Scully was found unconscious in her bedroom by her husband, on the evening of November 12.

According to her husband, the gospel stalwart succumbed to a heart attack that occurred before he came home that the evening.

However publicist Johnson-Mighty told The STAR that some family members including sisters of the deceased are yet to see a copy of the privately done autopsy.

The family is currently in the process of planning a public memorial service for the late gospel minister.
