“I DID NOT OFFER ALKALINE $2.5m TO PERFORM ON STING 2015” SAYS PROMOTER ISAIAH LAING!

Supreme Promotions, promoters of Sting, are denying news that they offered dancehall artist Alkaline $2.5 million to perform on the show in December.

After news began to circulate online Wednesday, Isaiah Laing, CEO of Supreme Promotions, sought to clear the air, stating that the story is a rumor.

Laing told the weekend STAR that he has been in contact with neither Alkaline nor any member of his management team and has no idea where the stories saying otherwise are coming from.

“We have not been in touch with him and we certainly have not made any offers,” he said. “I reached out to Alkaline and his team the last two years about performing and there was no response, so I will never call them again.”

Despite his stance to not contact the deejay or any member of his team, Laing explained that if Alkaline has an interest in appearing on the show, he will not stop him.

“If he wants to be on the show, we have no problem, but he has to get in touch with us. He knows how to reach us if he’s interested.”

On Wednesday, various online sources began reporting that Laing has been trying to call Alkaline in an effort to book him for the December 26 show. The reports also

stated that an offer if $2.5 million was rejected by Alkaline and said that the entertainer would not consider performing at Sting unless a better offer was made.

Several efforts to contact Alkaline for a comment on the situation were unsuccessful.
