UNLIKE previous years, Chimney Records released only one project in 2015 — the After Party ‘riddim’.
It features dancehall favorites such as No Man to Mi Spliff by Aidonia; We Run Road by Beenie Man, and Demarco’s Who The Hell Cares.
Chimney Records producer Jordan McClure attributed the cutback in production to the label’s focus on multiple ventures.

“We are working on a lot of projects right now. It has been a good year for us because our
Happy Hour riddim from 2014 spilled over into 2015 and enjoyed strong rotation all over,” McClure told the Jamaica Observer.
The Happy Hour had chart-topping singles in Free Up by Tarrus Riley and Way Up (remix) by Chi Ching Ching.
“We shifted focus to concentrate on a Chimney Records album. We also have an EP coming out with some of the artistes that we are working with. There’s just so much going on right now,” McClure explained.

Chimney Records was established in 2009 by engineers/musicians McClure and David Hayle, both former students of Campion College. The 30-year olds have produced a number of hit songs on riddims including the Movie Star, Tropical Escape, Showbiz Uncut and Rising Sun.
The Rising Sun is considered their crowning moment. Released in 2013, it yielded hits including Riley’s My Day, Tessanne Chin’s Anything’s Possible, and Chronixx and Kabaka Pyramid’s
Mi Alright.

McClure said respecting latest music trends has helped keep Chimney Records at the forefront.
“We put a lot of love, blood, sweat and tears into what we do. We go on the road a lot to see what people gravitate to and we try our best to emulate that.”
