DANCEHALL artist Popcaan was fined $25,000 for assaulting a police officer at the Norman Manley International airport in 2013.
The entertainer, whose given name is Andre Sutherland, pleaded guilty on Wednesday in the Corporate Area Criminal Court. He was charged for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
This is not the first time that the Never Sober artist has found himself on an assault rap. In 2010, he and two other men were charged for assaulting a pilot at the Lynden Pindling International Airport in Bahamas. The charges were subsequently dropped.
