This honor was conferred on him by Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe, who celebrated his 92nd birthday over the weekend.

Blakk Rasta was one of the guests who performed at the latest edition of the Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) on February 25, and he also featured alongside some of Zimbabwe’s biggest artistes in a concert dubbed “Well Done Bob” in honor of Robert Mugabe.

The reggae artiste also took time off performing to visit Zimbabwe’s Heroes Acre, where national heroes and heroines are buried to pay homage to late Amai Sally Mugabe, the Ghanaian wife of President Robert Mugabe.

Back home, Blakk Rasta has been nominated for Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) for Reggae/Dancehall song of the year for his song, ‘Serwaa Akoto’ and also Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year.
