FOR nearly 10 years, singer Miguel Antonio has been a fixture on the north coast cabaret scene, belting out mainly cover songs for leisure audiences.
Recently, he stepped up his recording pace in a bid to reach the mainstream.
Antonio has a number of songs doing the rounds, including Going With my Heartand Goodbye My Lover, produced by Vallux Salmon and Courtney Green, respectively.
The 30-year-old Antonio (real name Miguel Stewart) admits it is a grind trying to break out of the tourist market.
Performing at resorts like Holiday Inn, Royal Decameron, Bahia Principe and Sunset Beach has enhanced his craft.
“It boosts my stage performance and builds my fan base,” he said.
Antonio, who works in Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios, is from the community of Flamstead Gardens in St James.
Jah Jah See and Jah Jah Knows produced by Macky Conscious, and Forever Young, co-produced by Ralston Russell and Computer Paul, are other songs he is currently promoting.
