Assassin (Agent Sasco), Spice and Tarrus Riley are slated to be the headliners at More Life 2016 music festival scheduled for the Brixton O2 Academy, London, on April 30.

Portia Clarke-Millanaise, who is handling the public relations for the six-year-old festival, said the acts were selected based on feedback from the public.

“We asked the public in the UK which dancehall/reggae female artist they wanted to see and Spice was a consistent name, so we had to listen. This is going to be the first time Assassin and Spice will have performed in the United Kingdom at an arena with this capacity. Tarrus Riley will be backed by his full band which will be the first for More Life. The buzz has been amazing,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

“Spice will give a full, high-energy performance with her dancers. The UK loves ‘Singy Singy’ Tarrus as he always gives a full-hearted performance. Assassin has a full catalogue of hits and new album creating a buzz the fans will be able to see him take us on his musical journey.”

Sound systems Metro Media and Japan’s Mighty Crown are also booked for the event.“After rocking the 4,000-strong crowd last year, the public wanted the Mighty Crown to come back,” she said.

Clarke Millanaise, head of PR firm BeeMango, said she expects a larger crowd than last year.

“We’ve already sold out tickets compared to this time last year. We have people from Italy, Sweden flying in for the now the most sought-after reggae cultural experience that artistes want to be on.

We are expecting 5,000 people being already above target,” she said.

Hosted by Another Level Promotion and Flames Radio, More Life music festival has showcased talents of artistes including Beenie Man, Mavado and I-Octane.
