One-week springbreak party series BritJam was scheduled to end last night at Caribbean Showplace in Ironshore, St James, with featured act Dexta Daps.

“We expect a whole lot of ladies to turn up,” Anneke Taylor, event coordinator, told the Jamaica Observer.

Taylor said so far she is pleased with this year’s staging.

“We have reached a totally different demographic… usually, it was predominantly Britian, now were seeing Canadians and a lot from the United States.”

She said the spin off to the local community is immeasurable.“A lot of small hotels have been benefitting,” she said. “We encourage attendants to see Jamaica up close… take taxis and see what Jamaica has to offer.”

Also in attendance were American celebrities Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna.

On Sunday, reggae artist Sizzla Kalonji threw down a fiery set at the Aqueduct in Rose Hall during BritJam’s super VIP event ‘Flesh’.

He scored with hits including Solid as a Rock, Dry Cry, and Thank You Mama in front of an appreciative audience.

At one point during his 40-minute set, the energetic entertainer brought Ky-Mmani Marley, the son of reggae legend Bob Marley, on stage for a rendition of Who the Cap Fit, much to the delight of the BritJammers at the venue.
