SINGER/SONGWRITER JIMMY RILEY DIES AT 61!

The Reggae fraternity is once hit with the sad news that another of stalwarts has passed away. Singer/songwriter Martin “Jimmy” Riley died earlier this morning in the Bronx, New York, at age 61. Jimmy was a member of the 1960’s group The Uniques, which was lead by Slim Smith. Other members included Lloyd Charmers and Roy Shirley.

Jimmy Riley was born on March 22, 1954, and was the father of noted singer Tarrus Riley of “She’s Royal” fame. Funeral arrangements for Jimmy Riley are pending.
