Beenie Man has signed American rapper J Gunn to his MD Music label.
J Gunn, who is featured on the remix of Beenie Man’s recent chart-topper
We Run Road, met the dancehall star late last year when he performed at DJ Kurt Riley’s party in Christiana, Manchester.
He was opening act on Beenie Man’s European tour in late 2015. They are scheduled to embark on a six-country West African tour this spring.
Beenie Man
Born Joshua Gunn, he has been a fixture on the North Carolina hip hop scene for over 15 years. He began rapping at age seven and was once a protege of Public Enemy’s DJ Terminator X.J Gunn developed a profile in the competitive rap market, performing with The Fugees, Trey Songz, Cypress Hill and Young Jeezy, among others.

In 2011, he signed to rapper MC Lyte and television mogul James Dubose’s Dubose Music Group label.
