HEARTTHROB CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS, TO JOIN JACK RADICS FOR CARIBBEAN MOTHER’S DAY SHOW IN SOUTH FLORIDA!

Popular  R and B Singer and actor Christopher Williams will join platinum selling recording star Jack Radics for his Mother’s Day production  A Caribbean Style  Mother’s Day – at the newly opened Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (Lauderhill PAC) on Saturday May 7, beginning at 8 pm.

Also appearing on the show will be the internationally acclaimed Blak Diamond Band and the South Florida based musical duo, Sons of Mystro. The show will be hosted by award winning Jamaican playwright and actor, David Heron.
One of the most popular singers of the late 1980’s and early 1990’s,Williams rose to prominence  with a series of hit singles including Promises, Promises, Talk to Myself, Every Little Thing You Do and I’m Dreamin,’ from the 1991 film New Jack City- which hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot R and B singles chart. His latest album, Simply Christopher was released to strong reviews last fall.
As an actor, he has appeared in films such as New Jack City and Gunmen as well as in the television series New York Undercover. He has also enjoyed great success on stage, appearing in Off Broadway productions including A House is Not A Home, Men Cry in The Dark and The Man He Used To Be. He also appeared on the 2014 season of the popular reality series, Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The nephew of jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald, the Bronx born Williams spent many of his formative years surrounded by Jamaican culture and cuisine. He has visited the island on numerous occasions and is promising audiences a special taste of his own “Jamerican” selections come May 7.
The show will be co- headlined by the iconic Jack Radics himself, who hassold over three million records worldwide and is in the Guinness Book of World records for recording the fastest selling reggae remake ever of a popular song- “Twist and Shout”- on which he collaborated with fellow Jamaican artists Chaka Demus and Pliers, in 1993.

The show will mark Radics’ first performance in Florida in over twenty years.
Part proceeds from A Caribbean Style Mother’s Day  will be  donated to Young People Matter (YPM), an organization that provides assistance to young people and families in need.
