Don Zee keeps it positive on his latest single, Same Mi, produced by Damion ‘Star D’ Benjamin.
“The song is about working towards a better life, while maintaining your composure, being true to yourself and those around you,” he told Splash.
Originally from Clarendon, Don Zee moved to Spanish Town before settling in Portmore.
He grew up around sound systems. One of them, Sky Limit Sound, was owned by his father.
In 2008, he teamed with his brother Damion (a professional musician), creating rhythms and recording in their home studio. One of their early productions was Don Zee’s Mek Di Money, which got some mainstream airplay.

It set the pace for songs like Real Woman, Winner, Love Me Baby and Leader.
Don Zee returns to Clarendon on Monday for the Family Fun Day and Health Fair at Watsonton Primary School.
Hard Rock sound system with Harry Shatta, Shell Boss, and guest selectors Mad Ras and Frassbox will provide music.
