It’s All Right is co-produced by Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith and Damian Goehagen. Smith shares production credits with bassist Chris Meredith on Ethiopia, while Fly Anu is produced by Micah Shamaiah.The songs have a Nyahbinghi/ roots reggae sound Gold has favored since his conversion to Rastafari. They will be part of his first album scheduled for release this year.
Before his life took a spiritual path, Brian Gold (real name Brian Thompson) was a member of the duo Brian and Tony Gold.
They not only had hit songs such as Bullseye, Irresistible and Can You, but toured with Shaggy as harmony singers for over 10 years.
They also released two albums in the 1990’s: Green Light and Bullseye. The old songs, Gold noted, are still part of his repertoire.
“A dem help put wi wey wi deh. Wi give thanks dem was some positive songs,” he said.
