The 2016 Kingston On The Edge (KOTE) Urban Arts Festival starts tomorrow at Redbones Blues Café in St Andrew.
The annual 10-day event showcases the visual and performing arts at various venues in the Corporate Area.
Opening night features veteran roots singer Winston McAnuff, French artiste Fixi, Jermaine Blake, and the Free Willies, Phuzzion and 6 Points bands.
There will also be the premiere of the Cuban documentary, La Rumba Me Llama, as well as an exhibition of paintings, photography and jewellry.
In keeping with this year’s theme, ‘Connection’, the KOTE diary also includes Kingston Dub Club, Living Culture at Trench Town Culture Yard, Pecha Kucha and Artist Workshops, Director’s Cut: A Filmmaker’s Perspective, Great Antilleans Exhibition (Cuban, Haitian and Jamaican) and the Kuan-Kuan Chinese Temple Visit at Barry Street, downtown Kingston.
