Citing a resurgence in the popularity of dancehall music globally, Tad Dawkins, head of Tad’s International Record, has launched another compilation series.
Dancehall Kickout is the name of the latest collection which debuts today on iTunes. It will be released August 5 on compact disc.
It contains three anthems: Champion Boy by Alkaline, Mavado’s Big League, and Tom Cruise by Don Andre.
Alkaline and Vybz Kartel dominate the set with five and four songs, respectively. 1 Minute by Dexta Daps and Vershon’s Mercy A God are other popular cuts on Dancehall Kickout.

The Ultimate, Reggae Jammin, The Hit List, and Phantom. He said the market is ripe for hit-laden collections.
“We have noticed the resurgence of dancehall and as you can see from the album’s track listing, there are some new artists such as Vershon, Don Andre, Razor B and Alkaline.
Most of the songs are hits in their own right. And, of course, there are the top artistes namely Mavado and Vybz Kartel,” Dawkins told
