Rising reggae singer Sophia Squire is stirring interest in her latest single Love and Conflict.
The song, released in October, is quite relevant as it relates to conflict in relationships.
“The response to the song has been great, especially in light of the recent killing of women by their spouses. A part of the song speaks to that issue. This was nothing planned because the song was released months ago,” Squire told Splash.
Produced by the US-based Global Flex Productions, Love and Conflict is accompanied by a music video. “The idea for the song came about by Garth from Global Flex. Both of us contributed to it,” said Squire.

Originally from Spanish Town, Squire began her musical career doing background singing for the likes of Gregory Isaacs, Lutan Fyah and Warrior King.
Over the summer, she performed at the Reggae Jam festival in Germany.
“Performing in Germany was a major highlight for me. The reception was better than I expected,” she shared. Squire’s released songs include Love Don’t Hurt, Love, Rat-a-tat and Nature is Calling.
