BOB Marley and the Wailers occupy the number one spot on the Billboard reggae album chart.

Their live album The Legend Live: Santa Barbara Country Bowl, November 25th, 1979 removed Rebelution’s Live at Red Rocks from pole position.

The Marley title is the 11th to reach number one on the reggae table. It spent a week at number one (where it debuted) in December.

Released in November by Trojan Records, the 21-track set is the first Marley title to hit number one since Legend: Remixed in July 2013. Marley died in 1981 from cancer. He was 36.

Rebelution’s Grammy-nominated Falling Into Place holds firm in the number two spot, while Stick Figure’s Set in Stone moves up three places to number three.

Last week’s chart-topper Live at Red Rocks by Rebelution falls to four, while J Boog’s Wash House Ting inches up to number five.

The Frightnrs’ Nothing More to Say falls to six, while surging to number seven is Hawaiian surfer-turned-singer Landon McNamara with A Dollar Short.

Occupying the number eight spot is Revelation Part II: The Fruit of Life by Stephen Marley, while Matisyahu’s Release the Bound (EP) is up two places to nine.

Crashing from five to 10 is Double Up, the acoustic set from reggae band Iration. The band occupies the number 11 spot with their long-charting Hotting Up.

Joss Stone’s Water for Your Soul is still lingering around. It rebounds to number 12. Ziggy Marley’s Grammy-nominated self-titled set slips to 13, while the various artists’ compilation Reggae Gold 2016 is at number 14.

Closing out the top 15 is Jah9 with her sophomore set 9. The album had debuted and peaked at number five in October last year.
