She headlined FYF Fest and Afropunk London, where she replaced MIA following her controversial remarks that criticized the Black Lives Matter movement. Jones also caught the eyes of many when she hula hooped her way through the nearly six minutes of her performance of Slave to the Rhythm at the Diamond Jubilee Concert in honor of the 60-year-reign of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth in 2012.

In 2015, Jones release her biography I’ll Never Write My Memoirs. The book’s release originally came with a box set featuring music from her The Disco Years phase.
