MANAGER REASSURES FANS THAT A.J. BROWN IS STILL WITH THIRD WORLD!

Heather Cameron, band manager of reggae group Third World, has sought to assure fans that A.J. Brown is still a part of the band. Word began to spread that the singer and the band had parted ways after Brown was noticeably absent from a number of shows the band performed at in recent times. However, when contacted, Cameron explained that Brown’s absence, especially on the local scene, is as a result of the singer taking the time to get his travel documents straight and is not an indication that there are internal issues with the band.

“A.J. Brown is still part of Third World Band and Third World road family,” she said. “He’s in the US, waiting for his updated passport to come through, and then he’ll be back on the road with us.”

Cameron then went on to explain that since Brown joined the band in 2014, it has been smooth sailing and he has now cemented himself as part of the Third World family.

“Everything is cool here with everybody. He (A.J.) has actually been in the studio for the past couple of days with Richie, Noris and Maurice, finishing up a song that we’re releasing from

the new album project we’re working on,” she said. “Third World celebrates 44 years in the industry this year and we’re happy to have A.J. as part of that so everything is rock n’ roll. We have a show in Pembroke Pines, Florida later this month and A.J. will be right there on stage with Third World.”

Cameron also explained that during Brown’s absence, singer Junior Jazz, has been working with the band, particularly on shows in Jamaica and across the region. “Rebel Salute and our Third World and Friends show in Jamaica, we had Junior Jazz, he works with us as well. We had him come with us on the road to Barbados and Jamaica this past December, and he has been doing well. Everything with Third World is terrific. The band is at the top of its game and performing quite exceptionally.”

Cameron thanked fans for showing concern about the band, promising new material to come from them in the near future.
